These are the same people that a decade ago sincerely believed the movie God's Not Dead depicts the real world and alot of things seem alot less surprising.

Indoctrination to the point of believing things outside objective reality is a long standing tradition with the "Christian" fascist crowd.

Cataclysmic events such as those written (by mortals high as a fucking kite on seriously potent drugs) in those cultist texts would never happen in the view of those who are not devout followers of each individual cult; even if they did happen, the passing of 'historical time' would pause for those events, and then afterward, would resume as if nothing had happened at all, because, nothing did happen.
