Pakistan threatens to 'obliterate' Taliban after peace talks fail

@PDXNative1986 I see the Taliban and Iran as the bigger threat. Not that China isn't a threat. Actually I suspect eventually India might become an ally of Pakistan. Both are against Shari law. The support Saudi Arabia is a lot more than what you think. Saudi Arabia must support Pakistan. They have nukes.

@PDXNative1986 Saudi Arabia is not staying out. Saudi Arabia just signed a mutual defense treaty just last month with Pakistan. This is why Trump needs to talk to that Saudi prince.

@DeWayfarer BTW, you're incorrect about why this war started in the first place. Technically, the feuding started because the Pakistan wing of the Taliban is only loosely affiliated with the Afghani one but share a common ideology and the TTP is the Pakistani Taliban, in either event they've been antagonizing the Pakistani Government and launching terrorist attacks against them from within Afghanistan, as they flee over the porous border between the two countries. It's debatable how much The Taliban can even do to crack down on Terrorism within it's borders, but Pakistan is demanding they do something about the TTP and the Taliban replied that it was an internal Pakistani issue and not their problem essentially, and so the Pakistani government launched waves of attacks against Afghanistan, which responded in kind, with a counteroffensive, meanwhile India has been cozying up to the Taliban and befriending them not because they actually share a common ideology, but they knew if with enough subterfuge they could get them to attack Pakistan and contain their arch nemesis. But the long story short, it's Pakistan who fired the first shots. You could say the TTP technically fired the first shots, but that's just it, there's not a Lot the Taliban could even do if it wanted to about the TTP. And it doesn't want to because it considers them allies.

@PDXNative1986 Guy, i regularly talk to a person in Pakistan. He was afraid even before Pakistan passed these laws against sharia law.

Months ago he was even considering making a bomb shelter.
