I think Keir Starmer is finished.

As an armchair expert on the murky Kremlinology of UK politics, I sense his time is up. I think that Morgan McSweeney and the bureaucrats who run the party are set to try and replace him with Wes Streeting. All these damaging leaks look very orchestrated and not by Starmer.

The budget is about to drop and it's likely to include a lot of unpopular measures. Starmer is very unpopular and already on weak ground.

I don't think Streeting will be better at all because he's an arch Blairite. His communication skills will give him a brief honeymoon but that will wear off.

Looking on from Australia,it seems that way - I notice that Sir Keir now has a worried, concerned look on his face every time I see him on the news here.
