Depends on the friend. Those who are interested in politics, all over the spectrum, yes. Those who aren't, or so polarized we can't have a civil discussion about politics, no.

I don't. Places like this are valuable. I only talk politics here. In the real world, there isn't time to talk politics. There isn't time to watch politics on TV. This place is great. A few minutes putting down the facts and later on the discussion.
