US PRESIDENT WEAPONIZES FOOD FOR POOR AGAINST POLITICAL ENEMIES

Washington November 7, 2025

In a new low President Donald Trump is withholding food from the elderly, handicapped and at least 14 million children for the misguided notion that it will in some way punish his political enemies. It should be noted that the money for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program vouchers has already been appropriated by Congress for emergency use and a Federal Judge has ordered the President to make payments to recipients immediately.

IMO that's how headlines for news outlets around the world should read. Any true American and any person with a sense of decency should condemn this action by a cruel and uncaring tyrant.

It's the fault of chuck shumer. How dare he refuse to make the choice between healthcare and food. Doesn't he know that the republicans will negotiate healthcare in good faith once the democrats have no leverage?
Trump is actively inflicting pain on his own people. Blaming it on the left.
What do desperate, armed to the teeth, people do? They don't sell their guns for food...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Carla Even if that partisan propaganda was true, the easiest way to get these benefits to people is to open the government.

If they opened the government, the money would be released.

If anyone is holding people hostage to their benefits it's the Democrats.

7 votes to open the government. That's all you need.

"Doesn't he know that the republicans will negotiate healthcare in good faith once the democrats have no leverage?"

Did you forget to add /s to your post?

@JSul3 yeah...i am neglectful on that front.
I can hear my tone when i write. It's is presumptuous of me to assume others can as well.
Sometimes i add this...🙄.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Carla I know you are being sarcastic Carla. It's all you can muster, we both know you can't speak to this relevantly.

7 votes. You spend all this time screeching about Trump but won't take the time to contact your Democrat representatives and ask them to open the government.
Carla · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster well...i agree with those that refuse to bend to those that are trying to force cuts down our throats while handing trillions to those that don't need it.
Forcing a choice between food and medical care is really no choice at all.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Carla Well then stop complaining and blaming Trump and the Republicans then. You wanted this. Here ya go.

@Strictmichael75 Never trust a man whose entire profile is dedicated to pedophilia and sexual perversion.
Let’s suppose you knew how to operate the faucet for your kitchen sink. Its water flow may be turned on or off. by choosing to do so by turning the handle. In this case the stoppage of money was solely created by refusing to vote for a clean CR conjuring the flow of money. The dems and the dems alone chose to turn it off. That’s not leverage, it’s a crime. Voters are taking names. @SumKindaMunster @Carla @JSul3

@jackjjackson They certainly are and they want their ACA benefits and SNAP and are blaming Trump and the Guardians of Pedophiles for the shutdown.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@JSul3 you basement dwellers are really amusing
Like headless chickens
Lol 😂
JSul3 · 70-79
@Strictmichael75 You shouldn't disparage the Trump voters like that.

@jackjjackson They're doing exactly what their constituents want them to do.
Tell me this smart guy. What is the $1.5T they want as ransom for passing a CR to be used for? The SNAP and ACA cost is less than $100B. @MoveAlong

@MoveAlong @jackjjackson According to right wing outlets they want it for free healthcare for illegals, taxpayer refunded criminal defense, Liberal news programs, DEI projects, funds for sex changes among other things.

Keep up. You're letting the cult down.

@Carla

Cuts are already made
The dems want to add to approved spending & renegotiate items
The repubs just want to pass the current approved spending
Who's @ fault ?

Democrats have proposed various funding measures and demanded specific policy inclusions, most notably a $1.5 trillion counterproposal that includes a one-year extension of Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies

1.5 trillion for a 1 year extension??????

BOTH ARE @ FAULT

Contrary to what people believe the president does have limited powers
Vouchers aren't an option no matter what some idiots think .... states aren't the federal government & follow different rules

I'm general spending on all programs must be cut or eliminated because we keep getting further in debt and shutdowns will become normal ... we've probably gotten where they are normal already
ACA increase are but a small portion of $1.5T the dems shut down the giver trying to extort and they won’t say what the rest is far. How does that make the other side even a minute part of the cause? @pdockal
pdockal · 56-60, M
@jackjjackson

Get your facts straight
Google the cost of ACA

As for the test of your comment ... i don't even understand it

I'll put it in simplified terms

Dems want items NOT approved to reopen the government
Repubs want ONLY the approved otems
Nothing more

So who's @ fault ????????

BOTH ARE @ FAULT

However the dems are trying to use SNAP to blackmail the repubs to give in
Explain where the dems intend for the rest (vast majority) of the $1.5T to go. @pdockal

Asked & answered
But
The cost of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to taxpayers varies, but specific provisions like the enhanced premium tax credits are a significant expense. For instance, a proposed permanent extension of these credits was estimated to cost taxpayers $383 billion over 10 years, increasing the budget deficit by $335 billion, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Other costs include the premium tax subsidies, which cost nearly $14 billion in FY 2024, and the 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax.
