US PRESIDENT WEAPONIZES FOOD FOR POOR AGAINST POLITICAL ENEMIES

Washington November 7, 2025

In a new low President Donald Trump is withholding food from the elderly, handicapped and at least 14 million children for the misguided notion that it will in some way punish his political enemies. It should be noted that the money for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program vouchers has already been appropriated by Congress for emergency use and a Federal Judge has ordered the President to make payments to recipients immediately.

IMO that's how headlines for news outlets around the world should read. Any true American and any person with a sense of decency should condemn this action by a cruel and uncaring tyrant.

The Democrats only need 7 votes to open the government. Maybe you should call your local Democrat senators, if you have any and ask them why they won't vote to open the government.

Then it's out of Trump's hands.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster But it's not out of Trump's hands. The money is there.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong ...and if they opened the government the money would be released and you wouldn't have to worry about Trump.
tindrummer · M
@SumKindaMunster Would have to worry about 10s of millions of people losing health insurance.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@tindrummer "losing" health insurance? Or having higher premiums?
tindrummer · M
@SumKindaMunster Same difference
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster The President of the United States has the power to provide food to these people right now. He unilaterally chooses to not do it. Last I checked he is the President of these people too.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@tindrummer No, it isn't the same difference.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong The Democrats have the power to provide food to these people right now. They have conspired to not do it. Last I checked, they were representatives of our people as well.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster Congress has already appropriated the money. Nothing more is needed except for the President to do his job.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong It's Congresses job to collect money and fund programs, not the Executive branch.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster Are you a member of Densa? It has already been funded. All that is needed is trumps signature. Congress has done its part.

@SumKindaMunster they have to keep a ruckus to make Trump look bad.
Been going on since he first ran for office.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster You've drifted off subject. This thread is about trump withholding SNAP benefits which only requires trump's signature or autopen. You're talking about funding the government.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong Not at all. Rather you no longer have a relevant rebuttal because I am 100% correct in this.

Gaslighting and eye roll emojis do not change reality.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Virgo79 Indeed. TDS all over this thread.
tindrummer · M
@SumKindaMunster With good reason - a valid sentiment.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@SumKindaMunster Because the republicans don’t want to talk about security social for the poor.
The republicans control all 3 branches
And why hasn’t Johnson brought the house back?
Ooh ! Of course then the Epstein affair will be back

@SumKindaMunster Why do you keep talking about the shutdown and tell me why the President will not sign the authorization to release SNAP vouchers as ordered by the courts? Stay on topic.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong I am on topic
Exactly why will the republicans not negotiate?
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@Strictmichael75 This is not about the shutdown. The president should release the vouchers.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong Because the shutdown is the reason we are even having this conversation. If the Dems hadn't backed out, the SNAP money would have been released already and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Speaking of ducking responses, why will you not acknowledged that the Democrats have the power to end this shutdown with 7 votes?

Why is it Trump's responsibility to deliver money when Congress won't? Again, you get your Dem senators to end this shutdown, the money goes out, and it's out of Trump's hands.

Why can't you acknowledge this?
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@MoveAlong Of course it is
The shutdown is why SNAP is not being payed, as salaries
