Why does MAGA hate Americans?

And why do many Americans vote for someone that hates them?

MAGA is not a person, it is an ideology. Therefore, an ideology conveys no emotional state of hatred toward Americans or anyone else for that matter.

The MAGA concept was not conceived by Donald J. Trump nor his campaign advisors. The concept of MAGA was conceived by Ronald Reagan in 1980 which is what his entire Presidential campaign message was based on 45 years ago. MAGA was later used as a campaign foundation for Bill Clinton as well.

Enter Donald J. Trump 40 years later and suddenly Donald Trump picks up the MAGA torch that was first lit by Ronald Reagan and Trump ran with it while taking ownership of the MAGA concept as being of his own making.

To understand the MAGA concept, one first has to understand the ideology of MAGA.

The entire MAGA movement from the days of Ronald Reagan to the current Presidency of DJ Trump, has it's core beliefs centered in extreme right-wing populism, economic Protectionism, US Isolationism, strict immigration enforcement and a call to return to "traditional" American values, whatever those are.

These ideological underpinnings draw on existing Conservative and Nationalistic sentiment in the USA and then gained widespread traction through the populist appeal of none other than Donald J. Trump.
