From what I can find online it seems like people are determined to find things about him to dirty him up. I defy anyone to claim they have never said anything at any point in their lives that could blow back on them. Such a person doesn't exist.
And the "nazi" tattoo was a skull and bones which apparently the military didn't see any connection to the far right because those tattoos will get you bounced out of the Armed Forces.
There is one thing having legit concerns and quite another to manufacture concerns.
And as near as I can tell even the so called "rape rationalization" was a comment that if you don't feel safe around someone don't get intoxicated. That is just common sense. Same would apply if you have to go through a rough neighbourhood and are worried about getting mugged.
It is not rape apology to state that if you are in a situation you don't feel safe in don't engage in behavior that makes you more unsafe.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I hear you…the whole gestalt of this guy issies just not working for me. I hate to see the Dems feel they must nominate “Joe the Plummer” types just to appeal to working class white men. My general distaste for fetishizing military service also kicking in.

@Fukfacewillie It is not just about white men. It is about being a working class party again, not a party of over educated white liberals living in Manhattan and Martha's Vineyard who think Cheryl Sandberg and Hillary Clinton are "progressive."
And like it or not a working class party also has to give working class white men some alternative other than the far right too.
We don't need another made up scandal to justify yet another Bill Clinton clone.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I liked Bill Clinton, actually, and he did well with white males. Hillary was a horrible candidate, and the party swung too far on niche issues. John Tester yes, for sure, but Planter doesn’t have “it.” I think more will come out.

And this pretending it is still 1991 and "gentler" neo liberalism is the solution is why the Democrats become more irrelevant by the day.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I’m generally not a fan of the far left of the party, but definitely hate Glen Beck types more. I do like Mamdani, though. Go figure.

But they are also the only ones even engaging in objective reality for the majority of Americans.
MAGA talks the talk and lies to their people but the Democratic establishment doesn't even acknowledge anyone who is not college educated suburban liberals exist with their policies.
Short of nominating Mamdani or someone like them the Democratic Party will be like the Whig Party. A footnote in a history book.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Centre left then but not how they are generally labeled in the US. I like Bernie, but not so much Omar.
The Dems may very well disappear, and I’m okay with that. I’d prefer they favor higher taxes and banking regulations, but also ease up on endless red tape. I will never forgive the country for supporting Trump, anyway. It’s all pretty pointless now.
