Agree. They need a little more time to make more rope to hang themselves with. We keep watching Kent to see how long that will hold together. My main concern is that, as in the US, people become so angry that they lose the ability to see clearly and they vote in a group which is going to damage them even more badly. They were fooled by Brexit driven mainly by the same kind of people. I want to be positive that most people can't be fooled twice.

@FreddieUK True.
But this is why I'm also happy with what the Green Party are saying. Zack Polanski is making people angry against billionaires who are the real problem. Although, a concern I have is that unfortunately, immigrants make an easy target as you can "get rid" of them. It's harder to do that to billionaires.

@wishforthenight All authoritarian parties need a scapegoat group in order to make their simplistic solutions to real problems seem realistic.

@FreddieUK Yup. But labour need to pull their fingers out because they have ALL the resources they need to make REAL changes. They'd better take note of why PC won and run with it.

@wishforthenight Again, I very much agree. I've been very disappointed with Labour and I'm concerned that they are leaving the door wide open for right wing parties to walk in unopposed because there are actually are no arguments that can be put to defend what's going on.

@FreddieUK It's a well known fact that there is no point whatsoever in trying to pander to the right. It never works. People who defect to the right are not coming back to a party who simply tries to copy them. PC won in part because they positioned themselves as the polar opposites to Reform, and made sure everyone knew Why.
