Why is it OK to put pressure on domestic cattle producers, by importing cheaper beef from a foreign country, when Trump is increasing prices for everyone with his random tariffs?

He told Americans they should train their kids for the upcoming increase in holiday toys, by telling them to be happy with one toy, not three or more. Shouldn't he be telling Americans "eat burgers once a month, instead of daily?" We know he's not going without his daily Big Macs, right?

It makes no sense. He put tariffs in place in an effort to make Americans by American, now he is encouraging Americans to abandon their own farmers. He is desperate because tariffs are causing inflation like everyone knew would happen. So now, he is waging war with his own American farmers.

@Northwest Meanwhile China is put a 100% tariff on our soybeans because we tariffed thier EV vehicles at behest of America.

@JimboSaturn And overnight, Trump has broken off all trade talks with Canada because of an anti tariff ad made by the Province of Ontario that included Ronald Reagan's radio address about how tariffs are bad for America. He claims it's fake of course but everyone remembers Reagan's speech.

@JimboSaturn Anything he doesn't like, he claims is fake. But everything he does can only be done if it is enabled by so many people around him. That spineless cooperation is what I do not understand.
