Is it really that much of a beef shortage in this country. Then why are ranchers and the cattleman's association complaining? Why are ranchers deliberately lowering their herd count, is it actually behind drought, high feed prices, inflation or is it too increase the cost of beef?

A lot of people are not buying beef, prices are too high / $25 for one small steak / $160+ for a brisket. And I'm quite sure a lot of beef goes to waste / most grocers would rather discarded it to the trash than lower the price and sell it. Even pork products like the feet, the tail, the ears, has tripled.
