It's always about oil - oil is money at this point in time! And not to let other countries have access to the oil.

But the main reason is Trump can't stand the Venezuelans president, he wants him out of power.

To be fair to Trump, the proxy war with Russia started right after the fall of the USSR when Reagan was in office. Instead of scrapping NATO then, the western military bloc spent the next 25 years expanding eastwards to Ukraine right on the doorstep of Russia. This initiative is not an American one even though the US has been roped into shoring up this vile scheme to destroy Russia.

Entrenched political establishment is Deep State. Every country does have this for self-protection; however, Deep State USA is a strange beast and does not protect America.
