Neither are races.
Muslims face discrimination in the West.
Christians in the Middle East.
Western Christians don't care about their Christian brothers in the Middle East, because they're brown. That is the racist aspect.
I never see Western Christians speak of the Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians and Copts.

@basilfawlty89 This is why I think discrimination against Muslims can be considered racism. Muslims are treated as a single race. Even Atheists with a muslim background are discriminated against as Muslims.
This isn't a one to one, but it's kind of like how the Jews were founded as a religious group, but as time went on, they became an ethnic group, and while sometimes anti-jewish sentiment is about their religion, it's often about Jews as a racial group.
This doesn't happen to Christians, they're always classified as either one or several religious groups.

@BohoBabe in a sense, yes. But that's largely because Western Chauvinists think Muslim = Arab = Middle Eastern. Whereas obviously you get Muslims of every colour.
Ironically, Middlr Eastern Christians and Mizrachi Jews often also get attacked for "looking Muslim".
