Nasty surprise at my VA appointment today
I arrived for my semi annual appointment with my VA primary care physician today. In an effort to get everything possible in this single trip, I was anticipating getting my new COVID booster (I am enrolled in a research protocol for my annual flu shot so I wasn’t anticipating getting both shots—but there is no contraindication to getting both in a single visit).
Just last week I received an email saying that the VA was providing both. Imagine my surprise when the VA staff told me that the VA was no longer providing the COVID vaccine! I cannot imagine any population more at risk than the Veterans who receive their care at the VA!
This is very poor health care administration that defies all medical & scientific evidence. People will die because of the ignorance, arrogance, and especially incompetence of Demented Donnie, RFK, Jr, and Doug Collins! And, very sadly, the very people who risked their lives and their health—the Veterans—will be disappropriately highly affected.
This is a prime example of an incredibly stupid policy by an entire administration of misfits!
