And there you have it: Israel is now falsely accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire...

...claiming that they have failed to hand over the remains of all the hostages, despite the fact that the ceasefire agreement acknowledges that time may be needed to locate all the bodies.

They are now blocking aid at the Rafah border crossing.

It begins again.

The agreement calls for the bodies to be returned within 72 hours. This was not a realistic goal, and everyone knew it, but Trump's orders to the negotiations team, Qatar, Hamas and Netanyahu: sign the deal and pretend it's all good, so he can have his parade.

That's how Trump works. No substance and all theatrics.

Israel knew not all bodies will be returned within 72 hours, but the families were expecting more than 4 bodies.

Israeli and Egyptian teams are working around the clock, but here's a scenario: a 10 story building is leveled. In the tunnels underneath it, there's an Israeli body. If you bring in bulldozers to dig it up, you'll end up with bits and pieces of bone, mixed with tons of rubble.

It would have to be excavated from the top down, carefully, like you would an archeological site, to preserve the remains. That could take weeks, or months.

They all knew that, but good luck making that clear to Trump.

Bottom line, I don't blame the families, they're going to keep the pressure as they should.

Thanks for the update! I've really stopped posting myself on this. Now and then a comment only. I know only too well where it's all going. John Mearsheimer on Piers Morgan said it all. No peace because there's now religious ideology in the way in Israel too

Gaza's Rafah border crossing will remain closed through Wednesday, Israel says.

The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt will stay closed through Wednesday and the flow of aid into the Palestinian enclave will be reduced, three Israeli officials said on Tuesday.

The decision came after Palestinian militant group Hamas did not hand over bodies of hostages it is holding as part of the new US-brokered ceasefire deal, the officials said, without elaborating on how long the move would last.

Hamas previously indicated that recovering the bodies of some dead hostages may take longer, as not all burial sites amid the widespread rubble of Gaza are known. This issue has been confirmed by the Red Cross.

Expect Bibi to return to bombing Gaza in three ....two....one..
According to the Middle East Eye and other sources the IDF violated the ceasefire about 12 hours in so this seems about right.
I am thinking Bibi better think hard about the 40 000 Egyptian mechanized infantry in the Sinai right now. That is not the only peace that has come to an end. Egypt is making it clear the 1979 peace treaty with Israel is not a given anymore either and Sisi seems willing to give the Americans the middle finger to settle this too.

I hadn't heard about this, but I'm not surprised. :'(
When will people realise this didn't start on the October 7th, it was never about the hostages and it was never about hamas. This has been ongoing before any of this and not just in Gaza.
@HijabaDabbaDoo Unfortunately alot of people stick to their assumptions instead of bothering to educate themselves.

It was always on the cards. Netanyahu kniws peace means the end of his premiership and his appearance in court. It's also obvious that he has failed to destroy Hamas.

Oh well, the odds on were that this would happen.

We all saw this coming.

Egypt is in control of that crossing. Stop spreading lies.
@Gibbon But imports through the crossing require Israeli approval.

I rest my case.
