I honestly think that the Gaza ceasfire will depend entirely on whether the Nobel Commission decides to award Trump the Peace Prize tomorrow.

@AnnaWasHere I don't think he has a chance this year. For a start, the Nobel list was drawn up almost a year ago, and he's only been in office since January. Also, he's withdrawn the US from several global treaties and has openly talked about invading Venezuela, Greenland, Panama and even Canada. Coupled with the crackdown in the US, he's not exactly top of the list, and I'm pretty sure the Nobel Committee get thousands of letters advocating for various people from God knows how many world leaders.

However, if the Gaza ceasefire somehow takes effect and holds, it might be more difficult to look beyond him next year.

@wishforthenight it won't hold though. Israel never held its side of the bargain for more than a few months.
