No wonder so many conservatives think he's a genius!

Says a whole lot more about his audience expectations...

Former President Donald Trump is often noted for his speaking style, which some analyses suggest operates at a 4th to 6th grade reading level. This characteristic is defined by several key aspects:

Simplicity of Vocabulary

Trump frequently uses basic words and phrases, opting for straightforward language that can be easily understood by a wide audience.
Short Sentences

His sentences tend to be concise, avoiding complex structures that might confuse listeners.

Repetition

Trump often repeats key phrases or slogans, which not only makes his points clearer but also aids in memorability.

Directness

His communication style is typically direct and unambiguous, which can resonate well with his supporters and create a sense of urgency or enthusiasm.

These elements contribute to his distinctive approach to public speaking and media interaction.

Me:
So his audience expectations are very limited.
.
GPT-4o mini

Yes, Trump's communication style suggests that his audience expectations may be tailored to a broader, more general demographic.

Factors Influencing Audience Expectations
1. Accessibility

By speaking at a lower reading level, he makes his messages accessible to a wider range of people, including those who may not have advanced education.

2. Engagement

Keeping language simple allows for quick engagement; audiences can easily grasp his points without requiring deep analysis.

3. Emotional Connection

His style often relies on emotional appeal rather than complex arguments, resonating with audiences on a personal level.

Conclusion

This approach likely reflects an understanding of what resonates with his supporters, emphasizing clarity and directness over nuanced or complex rhetoric.

@DeWayfarer when we teach public speaking and writing where the general public is expected to understand, a 6th grade vocabulary and use of syntax is recommended. Trump dies ivercsinplify his sentences but I suspect he’s found from experience that this helps him communicate better.

@joe438 You speak to your audience. Not even his congressional speeches are very complex. Some people have never even listen to him speak in Congress.

It's simply is no different

Trump's speaking style is indeed consistent across various platforms, including congressional speeches and public appearances. He often prioritizes clarity and directness over complexity, which can lead to a uniform approach in his communication.

Similarities Across Different Contexts

1. Simplified Language

Whether at a rally or in Congress, he maintains a straightforward vocabulary that appeals to his audience's understanding.

2. Repetitive Messaging

His inclination to repeat key phrases or concepts is evident in both settings, reinforcing his main ideas.

3. Emotional Appeal

Trump often focuses on emotional resonance rather than intricate policy details, making his speeches feel relatable.

This consistency in style means that regardless of the setting, many listeners may perceive his messages similarly, regardless of their familiarity with his congressional speeches.

It reflects a strategic choice aimed at maximizing impact and audience connection.

Me:
It's more likely indicates Trump is incapable of a more educated form of speech. Especially since I mentioned in all venues.

It's certainly valid to consider that Trump's communication style may reflect his personal capability and preferences rather than solely being a strategic choice. This perspective posits that:

Limitations in Communication Style

1. Natural Speaking Style

Trump's speaking manner may align with his natural tendencies, gravitating toward simplicity and directness, which could indicate a limitation in more complex rhetorical skills.

2. Consistent Delivery

If he employs a similar style across all venues—rallies, debates, and congressional speeches—it may suggest a consistent way of expressing himself rather than a targeted strategy.

3. Repercussions of Educational Background

Some may view his speech patterns as reflective of his educational experiences and intellectual engagement, leading to perceptions that he lacks the ability to engage in more sophisticated discourse.

This interpretation raises important discussions about how we perceive political leaders and their communication abilities, shaping how we understand their effectiveness and connection with various audiences.

a strategic choice aimed at maximizing impact and audience connection

In fact, trump has no choice in this matter... he gives his speeches and comments everything he's got and that sounds like a simplistic, uninformed, juvenile because that's what he is.
trump is barely literate, has the vocabulary and grammar of a child, and is as self-centred and self-serving as any young teenager.
He's an unprincipled mafia boss with loyal lieutenants whom trump sees as completely disposable.
His contempt for the rule of law, the Constitution, and common decency, is matched only by his total contempt for the American people... the suckers and losers.
He has turned himself and his country into a global laughing stock... soon to be a global pariah.

@DeWayfarer
Donald J. Trump has alway said that he graduated from the Wharton School of Business, but his official records of academia show that he was actually a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, where he came out of it with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and barely passed.

The University of Pennsylvania is only an affiliate member of the Wharton School of Business, but not an extension of Wharton.
@DeWayfarer and yet he graduated.
Let's have it both ways.

@Roundandroundwego While it was never proven, he had the money to pay for cheating on his exams. In fact plenty of people said that is exactly how he got in. His own sister being one of them through a niece of his before she passed away.

Four different links above was given.

There are allegations that Donald Trump paid someone to take his SAT exam, which helped him gain admission to the Wharton School of Business. These claims, made by his niece Mary Trump in her memoir, have been denied by the Trump family and labeled as false by White House representatives. Yahoo the-independent.com

Allegations of Cheating in Academic Admissions
Background

There are ongoing discussions about the integrity of academic admissions processes, particularly regarding claims of cheating. Allegations often arise when individuals have significant financial resources, leading to suspicions about their admission legitimacy.

Key Points

Financial Influence: Wealthy individuals may have the means to manipulate admissions processes, raising concerns about fairness.

Family Testimonies: In some cases, family members may suggest that cheating occurred, which can add credibility to the allegations. For instance, a sister's comments about her brother's admission raise questions about the integrity of the process.

Public Perception: The community often speculates about the role of money in gaining admission, especially when there are hints of unethical behavior.

Conclusion

While direct evidence may be lacking, the combination of financial capability and familial claims can create a narrative that suggests cheating in academic admissions. This situation highlights the need for transparency and fairness in educational institutions.

@Roundandroundwego a testament to daddy's money and influence.
I wonder what was 'donated.
It would have been a bigly gift because nobody knows more about gifting than King Donald, nobody in the whole world thing, and in fact the gifting experts are amazed and they say 'Sir, how come you know so much about gifting, more than even us?' And perhaps it's because he's a stable genius and he even read that on a postal note written using a sharpie or a crayon or whatever those things are called - writing sticks? - There are experts who can answer that but not as well as King Donald who is the world authority on writing sticks and doesn't know how but it's really amazing how much he understands about writing sticks, and tariffs, and immunology, and Epstein was bad very bad never liked Epstein and now look but don't look too much and putin is a good friend and if not one single day then two weeks or maybe three months but perhaps two weeks we'll get it done and he never, ever, speaks like a mature, educated, rational, adult... because he can't.

And never ever any details.

Never ever even a single detail about anything
