Blast from the Past: Mitt Romney Wasn't the Only One Who Advised That President Biden Pardon Donald Trump.

I still believe that would have been the correct course of action (and can see the flak of denouncements from the left coming at me now).

And however the debate between Biden and Trump would have continued after that, pretty much the ONLY story of the night and in the weeks afterwards would have been about the pardon, not about Biden's age or his less than sharp handling of a couple questions.

Romney says he urged Biden administration to preemptively pardon Trump

Former Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said on Monday he tried to get the Biden administration to issue a preemptive pardon to President Trump during the investigation into Trump’s efforts to stay in power after losing the 2020 election.

“I called a member of the White House, one of the senior advisers to President Biden. And I said, ‘If the Justice Department decides to indict President Trump, I hope President Biden will immediately eliminate that, and that he will provide a pardon immediately,’” Romney, a former GOP presidential nominee and Massachusetts governor, told CNN’s Dana Bash at an event at Drew University in New Jersey.

Trump was indicted on federal charges in August 2023. By Romney's discussion with Bash, that indicates he offered that advice sometime prior to the indictment.

Sorry not sorry, but I wouldn’t put you on quite the same level of accomplishment and public profile as Mr. Romney. 🤣

@RedBaron

That's all you have? Personal insults? Why am I not surprised? That's what most of your responses on my posts are anyway.

No comment on the actual advice that Biden pardon Trump. Just a personal attack directed at me, right off the bat.

I suppose that's what gets you aroused.

I think you should stop responding to any of my posts.

@beckyromero Not meant as an insult at all. Sorry you took it that way.
