It would cost approximately $30 billion to end homelessness, $25 billion to end hunger, and $80 billion to make college free...

Total $135 billion.

Under Trump, America has so far given approximately $150 billion to Israel, no strings attached.

America first, though, right?

I do not believe for one moment $30B can end homelessness. (Maybe for One State) But not the country.
@Iwillwait no one's prepared to try, though, are they?

@wishforthenight Not sure.

@Iwillwait The US has already given more than $25 billion to Israel in the last year alone.
@ekwalizur Yes indeed. Also, here's an interesting article from Finland

Proof of what can be done when you're not looking to make a profit.

@wishforthenight I do not disagree. You're focused on Israel as though this is the travesty. The real travesty is the US giving a single penny to any county before shoring up our own.
@Iwillwait Oh I'm not focusing on Israel. Hence my saying "America first, right?"

@Iwillwait that brings up the issue of how to fight homelessness? just handing out free housing to people who are incapable or unlucky enough to not have housing doesnt seem to be a viable answer. people who pay taxes work hard for that money. it wouldnt really be fair. not to mention that a tiny house isnt exactly an ideal permanent living situation either. what about homeless institutions? like shelters but for longer term for those with more need? how much would that cost?
