did they really? seems excessive. at the same time though, that area is volatile. important to have strong allies in the region. our first worldish financial concerns wont mean much if theres a major war. but yeah homelessness is a major problem too and so sad that in this day when so many people have so much some people cant afford a home of their own. not trying to downplay your concerns. just wanted to stress the importance of powerful allies.

@Penny Powerful allies who couldn't care less what America thinks of them, and who America is still willing to give billions upon billions in aid in order for them to massacre a few more tens of thousands of brown-skinned people in the name of "self defense"

@wishforthenight who coined the term "infidel"? it has nothing to do with "brown" skin and dont act like it does

@wishforthenight There is no state of palestine. There never was. Palestine was an administrative district of the Roman empire. The name stuck around through various other colonizers that ruled the area, but it was never an independent state. Ever. And it still is not.
Nor is there or was there ever a "palestinian" nationality. Just some Arabs who settled in Israel in the wake of Islamic military aggression.
Get real.

@justbob So essentially you're saying that the Palestinian people have no right to exist because they don't have a "state".

@wishforthenight I am saying there are no palestinian people. Just some Arabs squatting in Israel.
Palestine and palistinians are not a real thing. They do not exist. The people who try and label themselves as such are just plain old regular Arabs.
The palestinian people do not exist now. And they never did.

@wishforthenight i am sorry for your concerns. my view is from afar and American in nature. i dont really know the struggles going on over there veery much. I do think though that Palestinians would probably not be good allies due to the nature of their allegiance religion wise so that makes them the enemy politically. Do correct me if I'm wrong. Dont make it about color. Color may be a factor outwardly for some but is not the basis of the dispute. Maybe for some Israelis but from my view its about religious conviction. Which is sad because most people arent that religious anyway. Not saying I side with Jewish people. If the nature of Judaism wasnt so non-inclusive there wouldnt be as big of a problem. Still, Israel is supposedly an ally. Palestine being one is highly questionable. I do think it's a terrible situation for both parties.

@wishforthenight You need to study history a bit more. What I said is indeed factual. You have swallowed the propaganda hook line and sinker. Many people have. Now and then I like to take time to point out the actual historical facts. Hate me for that if you want to.

@justbob Look mate, you're not stating historical facts, you're repeating propaganda designed to erase a people. The existence of Palestinians isn’t up for debate, no matter how many times you parrot colonial talking points.
Palestinian identity, society, and culture are well documented long before 1948. Under the Ottoman Empire and the British Mandate, the land was called Filastin (Palestine), and its people, who were Muslim, Christian, and Jewish, were referred to as Palestinians. That's a fact. Palestinian newspapers, schools, town records, and cultural institutions all existed, in Arabic and in English, before Israel was even a concept. Were those just figments of someone’s imagination?
Denying that Palestinians exist is like denying that Indigenous peoples in the Americas exist just because European settlers wanted the land. It’s not historical literacy; it’s colonial erasure.
You can pretend to be the brave truth-teller “pointing out the facts,” but all you’re really doing is regurgitating the same tired, racist line that’s been used to justify occupation, displacement, and apartheid. You’re not being clever. You’re being cruel.
