I really haven't been following Charlie Kirk but today

I heard that he was shot in the neck with a 30.06 at around 200 yards. Apparently the bullet did not exist the neck which makes me ask was it a light load? A 30.06 round to the neck would not only exit the neck and be potentially lethal to anyone behind it but the impact would be sufficient to almost sever the head. very strange doings.

People are counting it as a miracle and saying that God didn’t want anyone else to die. The doctors stated that his bones were some of the healthiest bones they’d ever seen which prevented the bullet from completely exiting and striking another person.

@AuRevoir they're not able to square that circle! A long distance with a high power rifle and he'd have a huge exit wound. A short distance with a palm pistol, and we'd see exactly what the video showed.
@hippyjoe1955 some videos show the blood.

@Roundandroundwego I am sure it did. I never watched any videos and am only going on what other people say. Having had a lot of experience with a 30.06 and having used one to drop a charging bear in its tracks I can attest to the punch of one of those rounds.

@hippyjoe1955 me too. I haven't looked at the videos, but I have seen the exit wounds on mule deer and a moose from a 30 ought six rifle. Big. Not good for the taxidermy..., and I've been around to see how easy it would be to,"unsight" it when moving these rifles around. You don't put it in your pants and have it stay sighted in.

@AuRevoir Have ever shot a 30.06 rifle? I have many many times. Very powerful weapon. A shot to a human neck would almost sever the head. I shot a coyote with one. The entry wound was the size of the bullet. The exit wound.... yeah the whole side of the coyote had been blown away. Its front leg and rib cage was gone.

@Roundandroundwego very true. The one I used a lot didn't have a scope on it. It was the old WWII Peep Sight. You kind of guestimated the elevation and windage. 200 yards was two clicks up on the up rear sight. and every 5 mph was a click left or right. A scope would more likely be knocked off thing should you try hide in your pants.

@AuRevoir Sorry son but you don't get to call people those kind of nasty names. I never mentioned anything beyond my experience with high powered rifles. The Red Baron was killed as he was flying by a 30.06 round. The British used those rounds in their machine guns used in fighter aircraft.
