You know makes me wonder about tariffs plus the economy if many Americans will just elect not to buy things or be more careful

I mean think about what's going on, we've lost 90 billion yearly that immigrants gave us, tourism is down in the United states... no one wants to come here because tourists been picked up by ice plus America is designated as authoritarian and has travel advisories, now Americans are having to pay an added 45 dollars in tariffs plus the original cost so now people might order less. Our economy is screwed

Recently my niece visited from Canada and she was shocked looking at our grocery prices, specially cookies and breads.
Now US made products are cheaper in Canada but many won’t buy them!

The supermarkets in Canada are appeasing the outrage of all Canadians by placing little red cardboard stickers on EVERY single grocery shelf which show products that are Canadian Made, versus which products are being zapped with US tariffs which carry a little black cardboard sticker!

The black stickers don't say MADE IN THE USA, but they do carry an ominous-looking black triangle which warns the buyer that the product was hit with tariffs because it was imported to Canada.

Even fruits and vegetables in Canadian supermarkets are segregated in the produce section of the store, like White kids are segregated from Black kids on an American university campus in North Carolina.

It's actually bazaar really, to see American-grown apples occupying the right side of a giant table, while Canadian-grown apples occupy the left side... with both sides suitably labeled with either a red or a black advisory sticker!

The same thing applies with the car Dealerships everywhere in Canada. There is a Chev Dealer not far from where I live and I've never seen so many Chev cars and pickup trucks parked on his lot which normally has very few cars, but I've never seen so many Asian-built cars on Canadian roads before, though assembled in Canada.

The Cadillac Dealer in town is advertising brand new 2024 Cadillacs on his lot which still haven't sold, but have been sitting there since October of 2023... while 2026's are arriving on the car-carrier truck and being unloaded on his lot despite his backlog of unsold Cadillacs. Canadians are no longer purchasing American-built cars or trucks, despite the 50% Canadian content on cars/trucks that are manufactured in Detroit, then shipped back and forth over to Windsor Ontario 9 times to receive their Canadian content. 9 fukking times! I am serious!

In fact, brand new Dodge Ram pickup trucks for 2026 are being advertised on Canadian TV networks at $15,000 off the MSRP, or lease the vehicle at ZERO percent APR for 84 months with $2000 down!

Those cars still haven't been hit with the tariff because nobody knows when that will kick in, but it will be in the neighborhood of 25% for Canadian purchasers when tariffs come into effect... Canadians however, will buy Asian cars that are built in Canada and carry no tariff at all and will do so despite Canadian auto workers building half of each vehicle that comes into Canada from Detroit.
