Why exactly is our success based on that of the GOP & Trump? Didn't Nixon prove it wasn't?

Nixon actually did have some successes. He was just as crooked as Hillary though.

Regardless, you're forgetting a lot of History between Nixon and now. Republicans could just as easily flip that question around and use Johnson and Vietnam.
