The one thing they didn't go hardcore on was free speech, we still have that in America. However, they have arrested people for peacefully protesting Israel, and they have used the power of the government to deplatform dissenting voices, like Stephen Colbert and NPR.

Totalitarianism is part of Fascism, but the Fascists aren't always able to succeed in creating a totalitarian society. The Fascists failed to carry out Totalitarianism in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Austria. They only succeeded in Germany, Japan, and Russia. However, just because they didn't succeed in Italy and Spain, doesn't mean Mussolini and Franco weren't fascist. It might be the same thing with MAGA. The Republicans might fail to totally transform America like the Nazis did to Germany. But the Republicans are still fascist in that they are trying to do everything you listed.

@Subsumedpat First, democratically elected doesn't mean they aren't fascist. You can democratically elect a fascist government.
Secondly, SCOTUS has declared that Trump can break the law while he's president. This means that if Congress blocks the Republicans from doing something, they can do it anyway, then just appeal to the SCOTUS. Republicans are in the process of making Congress useless. No, it hasn't happened yet, but that's what they're working towards, which makes them fascist or at least authoritarian.
When Germany stopped having real elections, they still had a congress. It was years later that the Nazis disbanded their congress. Basically, this stuff doesn't happen overnight. Republicans are in the process of ending Congress and democratic elections.

Trump isn't a dictator. My point is that the Republicans are trying to make him a dictator, or at least the face of an oligarchy like Imperialist Japan. That's one of the many things that makes the party fascist, it's the fact that they're trying to eliminate democracy.

Nazism and MAGA are both anti-democracy, totalitarian, socially conservative, and use the classic "strongman" propaganda. Same goes for the fascist movements in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Austria, and Brazil.
So again, what else does MAGA have to do before it can be considered fascist? Does it not count as fascist until America has a president for life with no elections?
