@wishforthenight Much as I despise Netanyahu, I actually believe in his own mind he thinks he's doing the right thing for his country; cannot say the same for Trumpy, his country is the further thing from his mind.

He needs to keep out of jail, and he can only achieve this by propping up his government with the extremist parties of Smotrich and Ben Gvir, who are the true perpetrators of the evil in Gaza. They’re are allowing him to stay in power only if their will be done.

Netanyahu is probably having misgivings, if anything, but he clearly considers it a necessary price to pay to save his own skin.
