Sorry, it’s not the country that pays it, it’s the companies that import things into the country and if you think America is the one that pays them then why did your pantywaisted PM or whatever the hell he is cry so much about them, you really have no clue do you?
Tariffs are typically paid by the importer of record, which is usually the U.S. buyer or their agent, when goods enter the United States. However, the economic burden of these tariffs can be passed on to consumers through higher prices for imported goods. I have not paid higher prices for anything that I buy, but I buy from American made companies that source from American companies

@Picklebobble2 Not just that but economists are expecting productivity in the US to tank as people show up to work half asleep because they can't afford coffee.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Well, you raise another important issue.
Why has an entire country of 340 million been allowed to get 'addicted' to a substance most reckon they can't do without ??
Ok it's not in the same league as Fentanyl or opiods or marijuana...or maybe even tobacco.
But it's gotta be up there if you're talking addictions

@Picklebobble2 Very simple. We live in a society and the US in particular where anything that increases productivity and profit is good even if it destroys people.
Opiates don't improve productivity but a US pharma firm made billions creating the opiate crisis too.
