I fear and dislike right wing populists and “Christian” nationalists

The threat of Christian nationalism is very real. These far right wingers want to take lgbtqia rights and protections away. They generally are opposed to social aid programs benefitting the poor and immigrants. They insist on abortion bans ( and I don’t even like abortion) and are trying to lessen access to birth control options like plan b as they see these things as borderline abortifacients. They want to force their beliefs down everyone’s throats and have laws that do not seperate church and state. They also tend to believe in anti semitic views such as that Jews are trying to displace white people with minorities. For example, some believe that the civil rights of 1964 was a mistake. Oh my god ( no pun intended) I hope these extremists never come to power. Just like I fear how the extreme left wing has become lunacy, I fear one day it will be a republic of gilead. Right wing populists and Christian nationalists are xenophobic, racist, misogynistic, homophobic and bunch of other choice adjectives I could say. I must say they make moderate republicans look really bad and Christian’s who actually follow the teachings of Jesus look crazy too. Because that is what Christianity looks like in America right now. That is the image of American Christianity. There are Christian moderates and even Christian democrats but your. Supposed brethren are taking the limelight and painting you with negative attributes.
