Democrats trying too hard ...

Democrats are trying too hard to float the notion that Kirk brought this on himself.

As expected, they are even willing to sacrifice a few talking heads in their misinformation network to get that message out.

Can you please give examples of this? I'm seeing senior democratic leadership immediately and unequivocally condemn this.

@Heartlander If we were really good at identifying and holding to account members of police forces who misuse power, you might change my mind here. But the outcome would be that people, some of them peaceful protestor, will get hurt and those that cross that boundary will face no consequence. Until that changes, I can not support it.
@carpediem Yes indeed

@RosaMarie Part of the reason for why we don't may be because we are blaming the wrong people and holding the wrong people accountable.

Bad police are the tools of bad elected officials. The city commission and the mayor hire the police chief and pay his/her salary. They approve the training and procedures that the police must follow.

Step up to the county, state and federal government and it's the same. Elected politicians are responsible for empowering the police at all levels. And unfortunately, the higher the level the less we hold elected officials accountable for what the police do.

@YoMomma Same. No desire in being in a space where I see people supporting a murderous ideology. Regardless of political leaning. So those loons that would probably do the deed themselves if they had the means get blocked.

@Benjago yeah the level of hostile psychopathery these days is insane.. i don't tolerate them 😳🤐😳

@cherokeepatti they are simply sacrificed to test the waters. To draw their forces to raise the hateful rhetoric.

All the talking heads in the misinformation industry are hired and paid by their employers. They are paid to express the views of the industry executives and funders. If Stephen Colbert is costing NBC $40 million a year in losses, who has been picking up the tab to keep him on the air, who will continue to pick up the tab to keep him at NBC for yet another 6 months?
