I think it might be a good idea to perhaps not jump to assumptions about Charlie Kirk. We don't know who did it or why. Another recent murder that

seemed like an obvious political assassination turned out to be a personal grudge by a grieving parent (Andriy Parubi's killer). Maybe the US is not on the brink of total collapse just yet?

We are on the brink, but we'll have to wait until next year's midterms to make a sound determination.
It's actually the redistricting that we need to pay the most attention to. It is each State's legislature that votes to ratify, and ultimately vote to dissolve, the Constitution of the United States. If that were to happen, and the extreme right has the votes, we officially became a lawless nation, with no one in high places to be held accountable.
I'm not being hyperbolic, I'm just trying to inform people on how our government works.
The removal of the Constitution has never been in jeopardy until this administration took office.
