Pro Trump psycho Charlie Kirk got shot at an event and conservatives are crying.

They try to shame people for laughing but honestly? Conservatives say things all the time that's on par to absolutely psychotic behavior but they never had any self awareness. On laughing at him being shot, the Vikings had a good proverb in the Poetic Edda that states something like cattlemen die, kinsmen die, you yourself can also die but the one thing that never dies is reputation. I took that to mean so is life as is death.

That's all I got to say about that. People are terrible anyways, we get prejuidce and say terrible things so someone out there will celebrate when you pass, it's how humans are.

But if you don't want it on a mass level, then try not being a steaming pile of poo poo.

He’s dead and he has kids. Imagine those kids reading some of the things people say online.

@TangledUpInBlue public figures rarely let their kids read about them online. Still tragic
@AthrillatheHunt especially dead ones.
BohoBabe · M
@TangledUpInBlue He HAD kids.
@TangledUpInBlue guns are okay in their country, they'll need to be violent to fit in.
@BohoBabe yeah. And a wife.
BohoBabe · M
@TangledUpInBlue But now she's a widow. 😀
@Roundandroundwego I just find the insensitivity alarming. It seems that way ….
Vin53 · M
@TangledUpInBlue You mean like when its ok that people die to have our god-given right to keep our 2nd amendment rights even though a kindergarten and its 20 children were shot and killed?
@BohoBabe ok bro. Whatever.
@Vin53 I don’t know how your comment relates to my comment. at all.
Vin53 · M
@TangledUpInBlue No. Not whatever. He said the deaths of Americans is the price we pay to maintain our rights to have guns. He died doing what he believed in as far as I'm concerned.
Vin53 · M
@TangledUpInBlue Expand your mind then.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Vin53 what do we call someone who dies for a cause they believe in ? Starts w an M
@AthrillatheHunt just dead roadkill in a country that's violent.
Vin53 · M
@AthrillatheHunt And rhymes with partyier. heh.
@Vin53 you know what, I made a comment about respecting a murdered person’s family . I’m not interested in rude comments. I am not American and I have nothing to do with your politics, I know better than trying to have a polite conversation about this. So thanks anyway.
@Vin53 Ok I don’t know about what he said or didn’t. By your logic you’re saying that if a person says that, their murder deserves to be celebrated online? With no regard for the family? I was commenting on that.
@TangledUpInBlue Being a father doesn't make you a good person by default. And with him the horrible things are just what he genuinely believed and stood for.

Maybe now those kids have a chance outside that toxic ideology. Depends how brainwashed their mother is.
Vin53 · M
@TangledUpInBlue no, I don't celebrate anybody's death by guns. I have to say he died preaching what he believed in in the same way he said others in our country should sacrifice.
@TangledUpInBlue I would like to hope those kids will grow up to be horrified that their father felt the rights of random nuts to own guns was more important than the lives of children in schools and apparently his own life.

@TangledUpInBlue no. We don't even know if he was the target. That's not justice.
The presence of guns in US society has this kind of predictable results. No accident. Violence makes the population more conservative.

@TangledUpInBlue Using his family as a shield to re-write history to force sympathy from people is also reprehensible.

No, people know that being a father doesn't magically make you sympathetic when they pushed a hateful, bigoted ideology that only White, English Speaking, Protestant Men were entitled to any rights and they should have the right to enforce it with violence and the power of the state.

Adolf Hitler supposedly had a son but that doesn't mean he was suddenly worthy of sympathy because someone is around to mourn their death.

I am of course using an extreme example to prove my point her but Kirk's ideology was not that much different.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow you missed my point entirely. It’s ok.
