Probably not.

But if I were the House leader, I'd tell any Democratic member who joins Republicans in passing a payhike will find themselves in an office the size of a closet the following week.

You simply cannot afford the amount of FREE political hay that Democrats could make out of a vote where all Republicans vote for a pay increase and all Democrats vote against it.
