The idea of getting rid of property taxes is generational warfare.

Jack up the housing costs so no young people can ever afford to buy a house and then cut off the one way that affects YOUR living expenses.

All assets need be taxed even more when not used. It is a way to encourage owners of multiple properties to generate and keep the money flowing.

Too many vacant villas, mansions, shops, factories,buildings...etc

@Miram I always thought we should just tax based on unimproved land value. You get some of the same benefits but you get the benefit of not having to litigate whether a property is being adequately used on a case-by-case basis.
