The police cannot choose which laws to enforce when it comes to terrorism. I am sure most of these people are just naive in thinking sitting in the street will have any effect on anyone with the power to alter the situation in the Middle East.
I have no idea why PA was chosen to be a a proscribed organisation: I hope we will be told before long. I'm certain some of those protesting are out for most demonstrations. I am sorry for anyone hoping to have a career in any public services who find they are now faced with a conviction under the Terrorism Act which will haunt them forever, unless the government changes its mind.
Demonstrations are always a demand on Police resources and it will depend on our point of view as to whether we think it's a waste of time or not.
