All this hysteria over displaying Palestinian flags is rapidly becoming less about Gaza itself…

… and more about racism.

The UK is being dragged back to a time when people referred to Chinese communities or the local corner shop in openly derogatory terms.

Now we are seeing foreigners being singled out, stopped in the street, in parks, and in supermarkets, openly asked where they are from, how they got here, and told to “go home” even those rightfully here by birth.

We can trace much of this directly to Trump 2.0, with figures such as Tice and Farage parroting the same divisive rhetoric.
Subconscious bias has never truly left the UK, but now it is being forced into the open and it is rampant.

Anyone who dares to oppose this climate of hostility is branded as “woke” or “unpatriotic.” Meanwhile, the narrative surrounding Gaza, the plight of Palestinians, and asylum seekers is being tightly controlled.

Meaningful discussion is effectively shut down, silenced under the weight of politics and prejudice. Keep flying the flag, public sentiment doesnt matter as the majority are now being outspoken by the minority of Far Right extremists.

Yes, it's suddenly become acceptable in some places to be openly racist under cover of right wing politicians spouting half-truths and stoking fear to divide society. Then they have the cheek to hi-jack the term 'patriot' and the national flag.
@FreddieUK yes indeed.

@FreddieUK What are the half-truths?

What is government there to do? Is their duty to their people or not?
