I asked a Trump supporter irl what they think, and when I mentioned martial law, they rolled their eyes, began to explain to me that it's not martial law, followed by saying, "There will be national guard and police on every corner."

@SatanBurger part of it yes.. part of it is life sucks to the point that they are grabbing for any port in the storm.. some times i think they need to see what they have voted for so they know.. like remembering the past offenses..
@markinkansas I honestly think some people are already predisposed to that sort of personalities. I'm sorry but I do think they have limited intelligence and a low level of self awareness which indicates some scale of NPD.

Nope won't help and I'm disagreeing. respectfully. The ugly truth is that they have NPD or limited intelligence one of the two. You can't force someone to have self awareness if the neurons didn't develop the right way. You just can't it's not there. You can't just rewire the brain through talking to people.
They know what's going on with Trump like immigrants and that many aren't criminals.

No matter the atrocities committed, they still rejoice and even delight in knowing the sadism they inflict on others. It makes them happy. I've seen this over and over again, they like it. They are happy that's what people need to understand, they like it.
As a trumpette told me on here, it's what she voted for. Many say the same thing, they wanted this. They want people to be treated like this and nothing makes them happier.
Repubs have been instituting laws to help child rpists and lower their sentences. They've ended help for disabilities and assaulted kids, men, women and elderly. Knocked down black memorials and hate the idea of dei which made discrimination illegal.
There's plenty of horror stories of women getting jailed for miscarriages now and being forced to carry pregnancies they didn't want. And honestly?
Still, maga says it's what they voted for. They could never be happier. I've talked to these people well enough to know how happy they really are now that anyone different from them is getting murdered and rped.
Sometimes people are who they say they are and I've found that it's saved my life if you accept who people tell you they are the first time around without even caring about their justifications for what they believe.
Who cares about their justifications, I've heard enough when they decide to support all this. I will believe they are who they say they are the first time around.

Martial law is the temporary substitution of military authority for civilian rule and is usually invoked in time of war, rebellion or natural disaster. Martial law is usually enacted when civilian authority has ceased to function, is completely absent, or has become ineffective.
We’re not there yet, but it is odd that the guards have been deployed when DC’s crime rate is approaching an all time low, and that there is evidence that they’re not even being deployed in trouble spots…

@wishforthenight I've honestly tried to test them numerous times to give them the benefit of the doubt to be fair. It's the same every single time.
One recently told me to stop trying when she repeats the same narrative in every single conversation that Trump was detaining all the evil immigrants so she could sleep safe at night. And whenever I counter her points to let her know that Trump is removing immigrants statuses in order to arrest them, she said it's what she voted for and to stop trying to counter her information as she didn't care.
But I've heard similar from different maga too. They all say that eventually, no matter the information given, they all say that.
I'll never stop countering misinformation when I find it by them but it gives you an idea that they are willfully going along with it at this point.
