Netflix is not free because you pay a subscription instead of for every single show you watch up front.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow By "free" I meant, you'll get medical treatment, and medication, and you won't have to pay for it (no invoice from the doc or the pharmacy).

@helenS Netflix is just a good example of a subscription that people don't seem to be as emotionally invested in is all.
But yes it is "free at the point of service". So you are not charged at the time of treatment. Here in Canada the only exception to that is if you are not a citizen or landed immigrant.
I believe that can also be the case if you are in a different province since some things are covered in some provinces and not others.
But in the vast majority of situations it is not an issue.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The average wait for a doc appt in canada is 30 weeks yeah good luck not dying while you wait .

@kodiac I actually live in Canada. I can see my doctor anywhere between same day or a week at most.
