Can Texas vehemently oppose sovereignity claim of the US Government?

Taiwan vehemently opposes China's sovereignty claims when U.S. President Donald Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping told him he will not invade the island while Trump is in office.

Asked about Trump's remarks at a daily news briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory.

"The Taiwan issue is purely an internal affair of China, and how to resolve the Taiwan issue is a matter for the Chinese people," she said.

Does Trump think he is the king of the world when dealing with China?

I think Texas is the only state allowed to secede from the US if they want to . We had to bribe them to join

Allowed? Is it controlled by the US?

@sree251 If states were allowed leave most would have been gone long ago. 11 in 1861. CA, WA and OR, gone. NY, now a member of the EU. TX, now the 4th largest country in North America. WI, IL, MI, PA now South Canada. Could mention several more.

The topic is about Trump's meddling with Taiwan. Would you stick your nose into Xi Jinping's dealings with Taiwan if you were President of the US?
@AthrillatheHunt Texas should be independent

Texas, to the US, is like your arm is to your body. Should your arm be independent?

now South Canada.

Where are you suggesting that south Canada is gone from? Gone from where?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong Texas was granted a provision in their state constitution that they can secede at any time . They were close in the 80’s w all the oil money . But they receive too much in federal funds to actually do it .
