President Says He’ll ‘Lead a Movement’ to Eliminate Mail-In Ballots

Trump said today that he would lead a movement to eliminate mail-in ballots and would sign an executive order to “help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections.” Trump has long opposed mail-in voting and said it was a source of fraud during the 2020 presidential election, though his attorney general at that time said that his assertions of widespread fraud couldn’t be proven

@kodiac military stationed overseas? On a business trip on election day? Live two hour drive from your polling place and weather is bad?

@kodiac It would be really a shame if I could not exercise my right to vote because there was a flu cluster in my neighborhood, an atmospheric cyclone bomb, my car wouldn't start, my leg was acting up and could not sit in line for the next 3 hours. You know. Life. But I'm sure you will be just fine 40 years from now.

@Northwest vote by mail is popular in states with high senior populations. They are shooting themselves in the foot here.

@trollslayer They are but Trump's objective is to cast doubt on the 2020 elections. He thinks MAGA will make sure he gets elected.
