NVIDIA and AMD To Pay Trump Administration Directly
This is a strange one. Following a meeting in the White House with the NVIDIA CEO, Trump order the commerce department to start issuing export licenses for NVIDIA (Friday) and AMD (today) to resume exporting their AI chips to China.
A side effect.. will also mean that 100% of tariffs on Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese companies will be waived.
Confusing? yes, especially the part where the chip vendors will be paying 15% of their revenue directly to the Trump administration.
We know that the Trump Gilded Age ball room will be paid for by Bezos and the other new Gilded Age robber barons, so what Trump project will this go to?
