RFK, Jr cancels hundreds of millions of dollars of federal funds to back mRNA research
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, tRUMP’s disastrous choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, has once again trumpeted his deadly incompetence and personal dishonesty by canceling federal funding of mRNA research.
This research has already proven it’s value as recently as the rapid development of the COVID vaccines by Moderna and Pfizer (the Johnson & Johnson vaccine used older technology and was quickly proven to be inferior to the other vaccines). And mRNA was poised to become even more of a staple in medical research and therapy.
Kennedy’s failures have been legion despite the relatively short time he has been in this position.
He must be removed.
Along with him, Louisiana Senator Cassidy—a physician whose vote to confirm Kennedy led to all Republican Senators to vote to approve Kennedy.
Kennedy’s most widely publicized failure since his approval concerns his gross mismanagement of the Texas measles outbreak which contributed to two child’s deaths and a third death of an unvaccinated young adult in a neighboring state. But those deaths are not all that trumpet Kennedy’s screw ups in this outbreak. First, he downplayed the significance of the outbreak and failed to properly utilize and mobilize the powerful authority of the HHS to get ahead of this outbreak—apparently completely ignorant of just how contagious measles is, the potentially serious complications (up to and including DEATH). Then he refused to endorse and urge parents to immediately vaccinate unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated children with the SAFE, READILY AVAILABLE, AND HIGHLY EFFECTIVE MMR VACCINE!
Still, it doesn’t end there. He officially recommended alternate therapy consisting of: chicken soup and vitamin A supplements. This resulted in children being hospitalized for acute vitamin A toxicity. Hypervitaminosis A can cause a wide spectrum of toxic effects including: seizures, encephalitis, liver failure, blood dyscraisias, and death.
Still, it doesn’t end there! He then officially recognizes two physicians who are using his ineffective “alternative regimen” of treatment—one of whom was himself actively infected with and at the peak of his infectivity with measles!
Despite this very public and highly humiliating episode, he hasn’t slowed down his disgraceful and disastrous mismanagement.
Some of his many failures since that time that are part of the public record include: administratively mishandling the lead up to and roll out of the annual flu vaccine, disrupting and dismantling large portions of the global viral surveillance early warning system, firing renowned scientists & researchers and replacing them with his fellow research skeptics, generating an official federal “research project” which he calls MAHA for which he literally made up references and sources and actually falsely ascribed them to being authored by legitimate medical authorities! and he has NOT retracted this!, ridiculously tampered with recommendations for vaccines including the flu/COVID/and childhood vaccination schedules, campaigned against flouridated drinking water resulting in both Florida and Utah banning this very successful public health practice which has greatly lessened dental carries particularly in lower income homes, and his incompetence have led to the resignations of many highly qualified medical professionals.
