Who's excited for the 20th?

Even if you didn't support his do you feel he was the lesser of two evils?

I spent the last fifteen years dreading what I felt was the inevitability of a Hillary Clinton presidency. I think she is representative of everything that is wrong with neoliberalism and her Presidency would have furthered mass suffering in the world.

And I think Trump so, so much worse. He's going to oversee the greatest looting of the public sector by the wealthy in American history. He is also going to viciously attack the freedoms of the press, free association, and very probably freedom of speech. Every working class voter who thought this guy was their ticket to stable jobs has been conned.

The only hope I have is that he appears to be dangerously incompetent and the GOP will probably impeach him within 18 months.

While I believe he was a better choice than Hillary I'd much rather see say Ron Paul or someone like that. While I want to believe that he'll be for the people as he says I am skeptical of his cabinet choices as I know one of them (I think Secretary of State?) is the CRO of Exxon Moblile which has its own agenda and I do feel he might go after the press.

Yeah, Tillerson is a really great indicator that Trump and big business are thinking with the same mind.

And Trump's attacks on freedoms are scary. People think that because he's politically incorrect, he's all about freedom of speech. But freedom of speech is about government censorship, not about being called a racist on reddit. It's going to be a lot harder to publicly criticize the government under Trump.

@TyphoidJerry: now I can't say for sure that his cabinet won't be for the people and follow the motto of Trump's campaign but like I said it does seem suspicious to me and seems like there might be an ulterior motive. But I've heard from others that these picks are good and we need people who know business but to me then you would get economists and business owners who represent the common person not large corporation owners but hey I guess only time will tell right?
