Trump’s Tax Bill Expands Farm Subsidies. Not All Farmers Will Benefit.

In the high plains of western Texas, 600 or so farms in Gaines County are projected to receive an additional $258 million.

By contrast, along the coast of California, 1,000 farms in Monterey County will collectively receive just $390,000 in additional payments.

Why?

Because Trump focused on "giving" money to Southern farms that grow crops affected by additional tariffs.

Then he can say "hey, look, my tariffs are affecting the bottom line. Nothing to see here."

In addition, funding will be funneled toward agricultural subsidy programs, and large farms, particularly those in the South, are poised to reap the most benefits.

Stands to reason.
He also is denying maine funds to relieve those affected by flooding. Even though they meet all of the criteria.
Tariff relief also benefitted mostly corporate farming operation during his first term. Many farms went under or were sold off to those large corporations.
And most of the money he brought in, was paid out for that relief.
