This screams the importance of knowing the past.
You can think critically, all you want to, yet it's not enough without knowing your candidates, how they became who they are, as well as long before that, to ancient history.
Computers are quite critical in thinking, make a mistake and it will let you know.... yet still...Garbage in, garbage out.
