Someone has finally said it publicly

And this is what will end up happening if America continues to follow Trumps aggressive trade war. To paraphrase Mr Lee of Singapore. The global economy will go on, with the world minus one..😷

As usual tonto you misrepresented what the gentlemen in that clip actually state when they get down to substance.

Fortune magazine states:

Still, tariffs can hurt foreign countries by making their products pricier and harder to sell abroad. Foreign companies might have to cut prices — and sacrifice profits — to offset the tariffs and try to maintain their market share in the United States. Yang Zhou, an economist at Shanghai’s Fudan University, concluded in a study that Trump’s tariffs on Chinese goods inflicted more than three times as much damage to the Chinese economy as they did to the U.S. economy.

THAT NOT YOUR FALSEHOODS IS THE REALITY OF WHAT IS HAPPENING. THE US IS THE WORLD’S LARGEST MARKET AND SELLERS HAVE DONE WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO CONTINUE TO SELL IN THE US. ALL TO THE BENEFIT OF PATRIOTIC US CITIZEN TAXPAYERS AND CERTAINLY NOT THE BENEFIT OF A LYING FOREIGNER TROLLER LIKE YOU TONTO

You're becoming more humorous with age, Jack!
Thanks Swirlie. No offense to you of course but I find the opinion of Fortune Magazine way more persuasive than tonto’s. @swirlie

@jackjjackson Two kinds of people... those who make it happen, and those who wonder what just happened.
america was the first kind... and is now becoming the second kind.

Fortune Magazine is an American-published magazine that is based in New York City. So yes, I can see how the opinion of Fortune would sound very persuasive indeed to Fortune's target audience whom of course are Americans. Good point you make!

Forbes Magazine on the other hand, is a magazine that presents articles that are all about making money, whereas Fortune Magazine is a magazine that presents articles that are all about business management.

I find it interesting how the quote you provided from Fortune Magazine so very bravely crossed the aisle and gave to it's reading audience what sounds like a very objective opinion about business economics at the government level, not business management at Fortune's usual corporate level.

@jackjjackson Clearly you were not listening to the clip at all. The subject was not about damage to the Chinese (or any other economy) It was about the eventual outcome of any single countries efforts to use tariffs in the manner America currently is and how to minimize the damage to all other nations. And as he put it, move on globally, minus one. But I dont mind how you misinterpret his words..The numbers dont lie. America is down over a Trillion in trade deals as of now and inflation is up while a recession looms..I prefer to read the numbers, rather than believe your opinion.😷
