Anytime Trump tells the truth its a coincidence.

This little mess might actually sting, but imo, it'll be "the cover up", including retaliation and maybe extortion and unscrupulousness that does the damage, rather than any original actual sick and depraved behavior.

MAGA has always been ok with Trump lying, committing crimes and abusing others, but this one is pretty analogous to "at first they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew."

It may blow over. Trump's good at infinite distractions and changing the subject, and he's already looking to blame a judge for not releasing Grand Jury stuff.

But it sure seems like this one's going to be sticky and messy and he seems to be increasingly erratic and undisciplined with fewer and fewer allies he hasn't betrayed.

This isn't going away soon. There are too many loose threads left to pull. There is just too much interest in the public and media to let this go. Also for better or worse there is probably some big money pushing to get to the truth. (cough...Elon...cough..).
