Now we wait and see; is it going to be good, or bad
@come2gether there's no need to wait to know it's gonna be bad...

@NerdyPotato eh, every president since Nixon has been overspending. It's a matter of what the economy does
@come2gether never this much though, and neither to solely benefit the rich at this much expense of the other 99%.

@NerdyPotato I'm not in the camp of it solely benefitting the rich. I'm also not in the camp of it helping the regular worker like me. I've been trying to grasp what it actually does. So far, I'm still looking for real answers
@come2gether looking for details is good. And once you learn what's in there, you'll understand how bad it is without having to wait for the effects to roll out.

@NerdyPotato one can't just say something is bad, that's all the media has been saying. I'm not going to parrot the media. This is why I'm taking the time to try to learn what it actually is and does or does not. Blaring headlines are extremely biased. I just want to understand it before I decide.

Remember how marketplace insurance was jammed down on us as a good thing? It wasn't. So, I want to really know what this does.

Interesting that you bring Nixon into this. The last time the federal budget was balanced was in 1969, during the VIETNAM WAR. Defense was the largest item in the budget.

But Nixon is the one responsible. He signed the Budget And Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Basically that law put ENTITLEMENT SPENDING on automatic increase every year. And that is the reason why WELFARE is the LARGEST item on the federal budget today.
