A deep dive by DOGE into the price tag and consequences of one of the US military’s most expensive missions would classify it as an instance of waste, fraud and abuse in the Department of Defense. The culprit is an inapt bureaucracy that includes the Commander-in-Chief who ordered the strike.

More than 125 aircraft, including 7 B-2 stealth bombers, snucked into Iran while other B-2s were sent to Guam as decoys. The operation was deemed as a success - by the Administration - based on the execution according to plan. It was so successful that even the Iranians were happy with the strike.
