Let's Get Rid of All Nukes.

At present there are 9 countries in the world that possess nuclear weapons. They are:

Russia
United States
China
France
United Kingdom
Pakistan
India
Israel
North Korea

If we really want a safer world, why not agree to rid the world of all nuclear weapons?

Getting rid of nukes wouldn't make the world safe, even tho that's our default inclination. The world wars happened because there were no nukes and therefore nothing stopping people from attacking each other. Nuclear weapons are a huge deterrent due to mutually assured destruction and have actually made things more peaceful. Now I wish people were inherently good that no weapons were ever needed and peace was the default setting but that's unfortunately not the case, not as long as there are religions pitting people against each other

4) in control of a military which has been / is being purged of those who might question his orders

I don't think we've ever had that before.
I'm not sure Kim wouldn't do something big. I don't know if Xi would have tactical nukes used against Taiwan or Japan. Or what India & Pakistan might do.
