Let's Get Rid of All Nukes.

At present there are 9 countries in the world that possess nuclear weapons. They are:

Russia
United States
China
France
United Kingdom
Pakistan
India
Israel
North Korea

If we really want a safer world, why not agree to rid the world of all nuclear weapons?

Why did the United States create the Manhattan Project and begin the process of a nuclear reactor and an atomic bomb?

Basically it was because the Jews who assisted had fled for their lives from Nazi :Germany and they knew of a German push to get THEIR own atomic bomb. The Manhattan Project was the very first nuclear arms race. Hitler has pushed for Germany to have the first nuke, even as he and most of the world could barely understand the science and theories from Albert Einstein.

When Germany fell, it was discovered their scientists were maybe 30 years away from creating a nuke. But General Groves, head of the Manhattan Project, wanted to drop the two bombs: Fat Man and Little Boy. Japan refused to surrender and a major allied invasion of the Japanese mainland was in the planning stage. Groves originally wanted to target Kyoto, but Secretary Stimson forbade it.

Robert Oppenheimer had doubts about using the nuke. If it didn't work, the Japanese would have a model to create one. If it did work, it would create a massive arms race.

Safer world? In the 80s (when everyone was REALLY scared of global nuclear war) there was an acronym MAD: Mutual Assured Destruction.

Since the incineration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, there has been nuclear proliferation all over the world, in all the countries you just mention. But there has not been ONE SINGLE NUCLEAR BOMB deployed. The world (including the rogue nations like North Korea and China) realizes that ONE nuke exploded means the end of the world.

YOU CAN'T GET MUCH SAFER THAN THAT.

And do you REALLY think that Russia, China, North Korea and Pakistan will give up their nukes?

Or are you imaging that they will disarm if American unilaterally gives up our nukes?

It was FDR who partnered with the Soviet Union against Hitler. That was due to Operation Barbarossa, the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union.

Peace is the profession of the American military. Without our horrific weapons and brave soldiers, we would not be safe. The world wouldn't be safe, since America basically defends the world against the worst element.

Last century, we saved the world from Nazi and Soviet domination. You don't keep animals down with just harsh language. When they want to fight, you have to meet them on the field of battle.

America is not the aggressor here. Neither is Israel. We both just want to live in peace, but the theocratic towelhead countries won't stop until we are all dead and our women in burqas, (and our fags all thrown off tall buildings.)

And he FINANCED Iran's terrorism and nuclear weapons program. Biden inherited PEACE in the Middle East and immediately screwed it up. Armed the TALIBAN. Allowed Hamas to attack Israel on Oct 7.

Right now Harry Hiroshima/Nagasaki Truman has a better peace record than those bozos.

As far as the ceasefire between Israel and Towelheadistan? About as timely as the ceasefire in the Korean War.

I am well versed on the failures of past presidents and the US in general over foreign policy decisions....with or without Congressional approval....and Congress ceding their powers to the Executive branch.

FYI....the Korean war is at a stalemate. Both sides agreed to end the fighting and we are where we are today.

The US has removed regimes that were not to their liking....in fact, that's why Iran hates the US...and you know why.

Not sure how Obama financed Iran nuke program. If you are speaking of the $ that was returned to them for weapons they purchased from Uncle Sam and never received....when you purchase something and you don't get it, you get a refund aka your $ back.

The money returned was for weapons paid for but never delivered.

This was not funding given to Iran. The amount quoted refers to foreign assets that belonged to Iran and were frozen by sanctions imposed to impede its nuclear program. The JCPOA was also an international agreement between Iran and a number of major world powers, including the U.S.

There were instances where Iran purchased weapons from the United States that were never fully delivered or became entangled in illegal/controversial arms deals.

@JSul3 yes, I did vote for them All over the years, Americans would need to commit to standing behind one of them in numbers to be a political movement with results. So far they're not interested. No huge Green wave. Just genocide and military expansion and cars and dying while on fire,- they continue to vote for that.
