Another Example of Why Undocumented Immigrants Should Not Voluntarily Cooperate With Law Enforcement.
The sheriff's deputy who shared details of a routine traffic stop with federal agents, prompting ICE to arrest a nursing student, has been placed on leave pending an investigation.
Caroline Dias Goncalves, 19, was detained by federal agents just moments after officer Alexander Zwinck let her off with a warning for driving too close to a semi-truck on a Colorado Interstate on June 5.
Zwinck put details of the traffic stop into a group chat with federal agents which was only meant to be used to collaborate on drug offenses.
Minutes after Zwinck had sent Goncalves on her way with a warning, she was pulled over again by ICE agents as she exited the freeway, and taken into custody.
If they see a crime, they are better off not reporting it and not give any tips to law enforcement.
Call an "anonymous" tip line? 😂 There is no such thing. Use a pay phone? What's a pay phone? 😂
They probably want to do the 'right thing' in helping a suspect get arrested. But their 'reward' will be to be thrown into a detention center for a month before being shipped off to a country they haven't been to since they were a child and with a language they may not know with no money and no contacts.
Small city near where I live voted down on traffic cameras, because they were afraid of individual rights being violated.
Well this is where Republican Sheriff Chad Bianco, who's running for governor, comes in all high and mighty. Talking about how what a bad decision this is. Saying little how they can be used in these ICE raids.
The sheriff's themselves are using these cameras against the better judgement of local laws.
If white middle class Americans felt even the faintest risk of experiencing what all Hispanics do, they would have a totally different take on what’s happening
At any point during the deportation process all illegal aliens may take advantage of the habeus corpus process using US court despite being here illegally.
